Another EU Horizon-funded project, which was completed in 2025, is FAME (“Federated Decentralised Trusted Data Marketplace for Embedded Finance”). As part of the project, a comprehensive, blockchain-based data marketplace was developed, enabling the secure and efficient trading of data sets. The financial solution is complemented by the FAME Learning Centre, which serves as a central knowledge platform on topics such as blockchain, data tokenisation and AI-supported control.

In 2025, the eco Association organised the eighth FAME General Assembly in Cologne, Germany. In parallel, an in-person training session for the Learning Centre took place at the AI Village in Hürth. Furthermore, eco presented the project results at the DE-CIX Roundtable in Munich. As a consortium member, we also contributed our expertise to several written deliverables and specialist articles and played a key role in shaping the project’s legal framework (“FAME Legal Framework”).
